Hm. So. I woke up early, ish, okay, maybe not. Well, whatever. The point is that I got up sometime before 12:00, practiced some, left the house at 12:00 for UMD (University of Maryland).

OK, so we got there at like, 1:10 ish and I wandered around looking for a free practice room that didn't have an upright in it, and FINALLY I found one way at the end of the hallway. -_-;; So I practiced some trills on the Steinway (which was really easy, haha) and waited for Rose to come. She joined me, and we ran through our piece twice, and then Elena found us. ^^;; So we had to play AGAIN, and she gave us some comments.

Anyway, so the majority of the people were okay. They had really pretty songs, but no expression whatsoever. There was one group that sounded like they were playing the harpsichord, it was that dry. We performed second to last even though we were Group #5 out of 9 'cause the numbers got mixed up somehow.

Yeah, so the piano was horrible. It was chipped everywhere and it was impossible to play something quietly on it or else it wouldn't sound. We had a few technical errors... but it went pretty well. I still think our best performance was the first one in the practice room.

The awards part was quite interesting. I think that's what it must've felt like to win a gavel, 'cause I knew we placed, I just didn't know what we got. And then as she kept going up higher on the placings, it was like "OMG, we're doing better!" and then when she announced 2nd place went to someone else, I was going to burst out.

EXCEPT. We tied for 2nd place. -_-;; And there wasn't a 1st place. Sigh. Must've been the technicals.

This is because I can spell konfusion with a "k"
And I can like it.
It's to dying in another's arms,
Why I had to try it,
It's a jimmy eat world and it's to nights in my car,
when the first star you see may not be a star.
I'm not your star...

Only in dreams, we see what it means...
Reach out your hand and hold onto hers.
If this is what it takes to lie in my mistakes,
And live with what I did to you,
And all the hell I put you through...

I always catch the clock; it's 11:11
Now you want to talk?
It's not hard to dream you'll always be my Konstantine,
My Konstantine... oh, my Konstanine,
They'll never hurt you like I do, no, they'll never hurt you like, hurt you like I do...

I discovered an awesome version of Konstantine that incorporates lyrics from "Only In Dreams" by Weezer, and it's so... beautiful. *sobs* It seems as if they always tinker with the lyrics in all of the concerts. Argh. Must. Go. To. VA Tech. ><;; Tessa, I dunno if I can go yet, 'cause it's five days before my mom's birthday and she might get like... I dunno. Wacked. But wahh~ the piano part's so beautiful, and it's so annoying 'cause they change it every time and there's not an official one that I can get the sheet music for. X(

Rose and I are doing SO well as Japan at Gar-field. It's great. Oh, by the way, we have a running story which will be completed at the closing ceremonies. It mentions a lot of my wonderful seniors, so yup, read it when we're done! ^^;; Anyway, so, back to committee -- it's so awesome, because we're the 2nd largest donor to refugee camps AND US doesn't know what he's doing, so we pretty much are the "US" of the committee. And yay, our resolution is referred to as "JAPAN's resolution" and it's all great. Unless we absolutely fail tomorrow (not likely), I see us getting at least Honorable. =P Okay, must not get too confident.

Anyway, so Rose & I have devised our strategy for future conferences. In relation to country/committee assignments, we're always going for Specialized Committees (GA's suck, Cabinets are scary) and we're going for major, but not too major, countries. =P Seems to always work best for us (WMHSMUN, GFMUN). Also, for research, we're not going to split up since that just never works, so we're both going to research all the topics, and then share research later and divide up to write the position paper. And then! Rose, since she's a fast writer and good with solutions, will be in charge of resolution writing, and I'll be the speaker, 'cause I love to talk.

Oh, also. Haha. I love Shiney so much~ he was our driver, and it was excellent. I almost feel bad for him. Haha. xD When we got to Gar-field EARLY, he insisted that we "GET OUT!!!!" but since we were so early, we stayed. Haha. Among other things, of course. I'm sure he will be missed when he graduates. And he'll have to expect phone calls from (not-so) anonymous... sophomores.

Finally~ they are here! =) I deleted the bad ones (Soo took the majority of the pictures during the Talent Show, and since she wasn't used to my camera... yeah) and touched up the rest, except for some.

For those who have 800x600, sorry! = Might come up a bit big on your screens.

Enjoy! =DD~

Yep, and today was average. We presented in Bio, think we did well... got 20/20 on Pathfinder (w00t), etc. Cirriculum Fair was interesting. Now I'm going to have to revise my schedule. -_-;; Wah. Hehe, at Street Law, Ben, Raamin, Alice, and Jason (I think?) were all there and somehow they started talking about Shiney, Blake, and I. Haha. xD

Yay! Another two new Naruto manga installments. *^^* Sakura's so~ awesome now. Not that she wasn't before. Heh.

Anyway, JLC was interesting today. Blake and I finally decided to go ask Shiney to go to Rob the Cradle with us. It took us nearly 30 minutes just standing there, before finally, she shoved me over, and I told Sarah to come and like, yah. xD Then Shiney came over and he's like "I KNOW YOU GUYS ARE SCHEMING SOMETHING!!" And then we get down on our knees and ask him... haha, priceless. >D~ Sarah, get your picture up on the web soon.

Precalc was boring~ as usual. At least this time I tried to pay attention, 'cause we were doing something I didn't know and it was supposed to be really hard. Rotation of hyperbolas? Yeah, well, halfway through, I fell asleep. -_-;; But when we got a worksheet, I managed to figure out how to do it (ON MY OWN), so, I guess it doesn't really matter. And we performed the Heinlich (sp?) maneuver today in PE. Very... interesting... o_O Compsci was "educational", as usual. Mr. Rose handed back my corrected grade sheet, and now I have an A. Good. =) Latin was interesting... we spent most of the period, I believe, watching the rest of Sparticus.

In lieu of the Cirriculum Fair tomorrow, I have completed my (tentative) 4-year schedule!!! It surprisingly works out with the credits, and everything. *is pleased with self*
